The Onion Router, short GATE, is a collection of programs with which the users against censorship and Surveillance can defend themselves. TOR directs Internet Connections through a network of nodes, so that a follow-up, or an identification of the user is impossible or at least difficult.
Orbot is the official Android version of TOR. On devices with Root access can Orbot directly after the Installation, all App Connections through the TOR network routes, alternatively, you can select the application via the GATEWAY using the Web to communicate.
