Cartes du Ciel is an open source planetarium program. With this free program you can use star maps to compose, place it on your computer screen display and printing.

The software is suitable for both beginners and advanced. Advanced users will find the free download additional catalogs can appreciate that they are more galaxies and the accurate positions of comets and asteroids.

The software is available as a download for Windows and as online application. The online application, you can also use on a Mac computer. The online tool makes use of Silverlight, the browser plugin has, you will need to install it first before you can run the application.

You can use WorldWide Telescope to use for a tour to create along interesting places in the universe and then share it with other users.
