Dukto R6 is an open source program for the exchange of files between all your different devices. The software is available for Linux, Mac and Windows laptops and for mobile devices running Android, iOS or Symbian.
This exchange can only happen when your devices are connected to the same local (wifi) network. After you start the program on your mobile phone or your laptop it will automatically search for other devices that are connected on your network that is also running Dukto is installed. These devices are then in a list of "Buddies". After you create a Buddy has clicked, you can choose a single file or an entire folder to send. These files will then be automatically to the other device is moved without additional toesteming or something like that.
The programme is therefore only suitable for use within a privenetwerk in for example your own house. When you use the software within a network to which many (unknown) other users are in, then you run the risk that these uninvited and unnoticed, large amounts of files to your device can send.
