AddrMon is a practical and interesting utility, totally free, developed so that the user can perform pings to a specific IP of a server (to, thus, obtain the response time of said server), as well as to make traceroute (route trace ) or to monitor the behavior of a remote host.
From AddrMon you can send ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol) packets every certain time interval, and check if they are received. If any package is lost, it will notify you by email of the incident.
In addition, AddrMon does not even need installation.
