CoWord is able to convert the MS Word program (which is for a single user) into a collaborative multiuser text processor in real time, without having to make any changes to the source code of the original Word. With CoWord, several users in different geographical locations can simultaneously edit the same MS Word document via the Internet.
CoWord does not modify the appearance or functionality of the usual Word at all. There are no restrictions of any kind or impositions: each user has total freedom to use CoWord both in their group and for themselves. The CoWord installation package includes both the CoWord server and the client.
