Fony is an editor for letter fonts in bitmap format. The program has support to open or import the following types of sources:
* Windows sources of bitmaps (FON, FNT).
* TrueType vector fonts.
* Amiga bitmap fonts.
* BDF bitmap sources.
* Bitmap Bitmap Font Writer (BFW).
On the other hand, Fony is able to generate, save or export the following font formats:
* Fuenutes of bitmaps in Windows (FON, FNT).
* BDF sources.
* Bitmap Bitmap Font Writer (BFW).
* Custom bitmaps.
The external aspect of Fony, through its interface, is very similar to that of any graphic editor (with utilities and specific functions for managing fonts, of course). This is because of the fact that it is an editor that works only with bitmap formats. The work panel is chaired by a grid. Each of the cells that make up this grid can be colored or not, depending on the shape we want to give our letter.
