Image Comparer allows us to scan a particular folder or disk drive to detect duplicate or very similar images to each other. The program detects similar or equal images even if they are in different formats (for example: two JPG and TIFF versions of the same image). Simply put, Image Comparer automates the process of detecting duplicates.
You can also locate similar images; that is, those that without being equal keep a reasonable resemblance. The degree of similarity of two images is represented by a percentage, so that a percentage of 100% indicates that the two images compared are identical, and from there the percentage decreases according to the difference that exists.
At the end of the scan, Image Comparer offers you a list of found files, as well as a face-to-face comparison (the two files next to each other) so you can easily decide whether to copy, move or delete any of the two copies of the same file.
Additionally, the program can automatically mark the image that apparently has higher quality, to make it easier for you to decide or discard. The graphic formats supported are the following: JPEG, J2K, BMP, GIF, PCX, PNG, TIFF, TGA, ICO and CUR.
