The Twitter microblogging service can also be used from Firefox thanks to Instant Tweets, free extension for Firefox (compatible with versions 2 and 3) that sends tweets instantly from the web address bar by clicking on the blue bird icon or from the mouse by right clicking. The user can send a tweet (short message) by typing its content directly in the address bar or send the page one is visiting at that time.
It includes a character counter so that the text does not exceed a limit (which is 140 characters). With Instant Tweets you can send messages by right clicking on the image and then selecting the Tweet this pic option. And you can also send text next to a web link.
