Monitor Info View is a small software utility that shows us essential information about possibly the most important element of our computer and one of the ones we care less about: the monitor. If the monitor could not do anything, if the screen is broken we can already have everything else in good condition, which will not help us at all.
Through this simple program we can know the week and year of manufacture, the name of the manufacturer, the model, the display modes it supports, and much more. Although of course, one can ask ... and where do you get all this information?
The answer is the EDID ("Extended Display Identification Data") records stored on your computer. You can also view the information of the monitors of multiple computers in your local network, provided you access the latter with administrator permissions.
Monitor Info View does not require any installation process nor does it depend on additional DLL files. To start using it, you simply have to copy the executable file to any folder on your hard drive, and open it directly.
The main window of the program consists of two panels: the top panel shows us the list of monitors, and when a specific monitor is selected, the list of available display modes for that monitor will appear in the bottom panel. Normally only one monitor will appear, but the program works equally if we have several screens connected to our system.
Finally, its small size (barely 39 Kb of disk space) and its manageability are another important point in favor of Monitor Info View.
