PingTrace is a tool to perform pings and locate routes on the Internet host. The program provides a direct output of Windows instead of using command line utilities ping.exe and tracert.exe. Pingtrace is a network tool that checks communications with a remote computer. The ping utility sends packets to a remote PC and waits for a response by measuring the time between the request and the response from a remote computer.
PingTrace allows you to change and store command line parameters directly from configuration dialogs, and you can specify: if the IP address can be resolved to a readable host name, the number of ping packets to be sent, the timeout (how much you have to wait for the remote host to respond), the size of the ping packet, and so on. PingTrace is free and hardly consumes system resources.
