Pipelines is a utility that allows you to modify the content of one or more text files, quickly and easily. You can specify that only some parts of a file be modified, limit these changes to a specific column, word or area, translate phrases or words, discard lines or insert new ones, etc.
Pipelines is based on the concept of directing the output of a process to the input of the next process (technique known in computer jargon as 'pipelining'). But in addition, the Pipelines program goes one step further, allowing you to build multiflow pipes.
This means that the topology of the pipes does not necessarily have to be horizontal or linear, but can be two-dimensional, traveling the data both forward and backward in the chain.
