SCAN (acronym for Smart Content Aggregation and Navigation, navigation and intelligent content aggregation) is a program that we could define as a universal aggregator of semantic content. It is a program that combines search, text analysis, tagging and metadata functions to provide the user with a new desktop browsing experience and document management.
The objective of SCAN is to become an effective solution for the main problems of organization of personal content and location of documents when the information load is very large. The program adds different information flows from various sources in a single semantic space, where we can explore and search to quickly find the document or the specific object we need.
SCAN is designed to be a very flexible and highly configurable component or framework to adapt to the specific needs of each user. It is also extensible, thanks to the use of plugins for new formats and locations of documents and add-ons for the user interface.
NOTE: To ensure proper operation, the SCAN program requires that we have previously installed the Java runtime environment on disk: Java Runtime Environment.
