Do you have a network of home or office computers, consisting of several computers, but with a single shared scanner, which should be approached by all users who want to use it to scan a document? Would it not be infinitely more convenient, practical and productive that all members of the local network (LAN) could use the scanner remotely, from their respective computers? Quiet, because we have found a very interesting tool with which to configure this device so that any user who is part of the local network can use it to scan documents. This is a small program of just under 1 Mb in weight, which is called ScanRnServer, and that, being a product distributed under a "freeware" license, we can download it for free.
ScanRnServer is an application with client / server architecture that allows us to share our scanner with other computers connected to the same network. Logically, the requirement is that they have the ScanRN client installed.
We must install ScanRnServer on the computer that has the scanner installed, and then the remote machine can access the peripheral through the program interface. The scanned document can be saved as a JPG file.
You can free download ScanRnServer 32, 64 bit and safe install the latest trial or new full version for Windows 10 from the official site.
