WMPCDText is a small but useful free plugin for Windows Media Player that is used to read the text formatted information of the audio CDs. CD Text is an extension of the standard CDs, and thanks to it we can store the additional information of the audio CDs, such as the name of the album, the name of the artist and the data on the subjects. Some players like Winamp or Real Player can read this information. The same is not true with Windows Media Player, which never had that option available. Now you can do it with WMPCDText.
The program includes an option to automatically read the text of the CDs. Alternatively, you can also right-click on the theme that is displayed in the Now Playing panel (what is currently playing) and select Read CD Text. WMPCDText has been created for Windows Media Player 10 and 11 and works only on Windows XP, 2003 and Vista.
