Contig is an optimized disk defragmenter program with the sole objective of executing defragmentation processes as quickly as possible. In this way, the program focuses on relocating the parts of each file as close as possible physically to the disk, so that it takes less time to access them when we have to use them (increased overall performance).
Contig works under the command line, so it doesn't have its own interface. Anyway, we can add it using Power Defragmenter GUI. The program is capable of defragmenting individual files, folders or a complete entire disk. When working through a command line, we must know its parameters: contig [-v] [-a] [-q] [-s] [filename].
