Every time you copy something to the Windows clipboard to paste it later in any application, this copied data is stored in multiple formats. The usual application of the Windows clipboard only shows the basic formats, such as texts, bitmaps and others, but does not show the complete list of all the formats that are stored in the clipboard.
Inside Clipboard is a very small utility that shows the binary content of all the formats stored in the clipboard, and allows you to save the content of a specific format in a binary file.
The program does not require any installation process nor does it depend on additional DLL files. To use it you simply have to run the file called InsideClipboard.exe.
The main Inside Clipboard window is divided into two panels. The top panel shows the list of all the formats currently stored in the clipboard. When you select an object in the upper panel, the lower one will show the contents of the chosen clipboard format. You can view the content as ASCII (for text-based formats, such as RTF or HTML) or as hexadecimal format.
Inside Clipboard is a completely free tool that does not take up a significant amount of disk space: it is barely 36 Kb in size. We have no problem keeping it on our hard drive, and in return we get a very useful function.
