JDing is a fairly simple to use software that will try to help us improve our knowledge of English and German languages through translations, always from English. It is an application designed to demonstrate that simplicity is the key to any learning process.
It is a translation tool of great success and growing popularity, mainly due to its functionality and being completely free. JDing combines a simple, agile and fast operation with the versatility and independence of being built in Java.
JDing is a clone of the Ding translation software, a program of great prestige but with a serious drawback, and is that it is designed for Unix-based systems, such as Linux and the like. In its interface we can find a search option to find words (or translations, rather) that contain a certain string of characters given by the user.
NOTE: Being designed in Java, the program requires that we have installed on our Java 1.5 or higher computer.
