Kludgets Engine is a curious free (open source) application that installs Mac OS X gadgets on Windows. This can be a good alternative to get the best out of both interfaces. Kludgets Engine is based on WebKit and Nokia's QT framework, and it is a project in continuous growth. It is very useful for Windows users who want to take advantage of the utilities and advantages of these functions of Mac computers, without having to leave the traditional environment they are accustomed to using.
Once the Kludgets Engine program is downloaded, an icon will be installed on the taskbar; By clicking with the right mouse button on this icon we can configure the program. It is really very simple to handle: the two main buttons are used to open the widget package (Open widget package) and to add a new widget (Add Widget). The widgets are grouped into categories: RSS feeds, games, calculators, monitoring, etc., and if you are connected to the Internet they will be updated and adding news continuously.
NOTE: Using Kludgets Engine widgets can slow down RAM, so use them wisely. You don't need to install 30 widgets at the same time if you're not going to use them all!
