In the distant 1910 a small group belonging to the Italian colony in Chile was encouraged to create a modest football club: the Audax Club Sportivo Italiano (also known as Audax Italiano La Florida); and what started so humbly became, over the years, one of the most important football clubs in all of Chile.
If they are characterized by something, it is because both their players and their followers are known worldwide as Los Tanos.
