Medusa is an interactive graphics editor and viewer. A graphic consists of nodes and edges. The edges indicate the interaction between two nodes. Specifically, Medusa serves as a graphical interface for the database of interactions between proteins, called STRING.
The existenet web interface for STRING, although very complete, is completely static. It does not allow users to create their own networks. For this we can take advantage of the services of this program: Medusa, which gives us much greater freedom when handling STRING data. It is flexible and easy to use and install, as well as being completely free for academic use.
NOTE: Being developed in Java, Medusa requires that you have Java Runtime Environment installed.
You can free download Medusa 32, 64 bit and safe install the latest trial or new full version for Windows 10 from the official site.
