The MS Word Save Doc As Dot program serves only and exclusively for what its title says: convert DOC files (the usual ones from Microsoft Word) to the DOT format. We can choose to convert a file individually, or process several in bulk, performing several conversions at once.
As input formats, the program supports both.DOC and.DOCX, and as an output we can save them as.DOT or as.DOTX. All you need to do is load all the files you want to process into MS Word Save Doc As Dot, choose the output format you want, and press the Save As Dot” button. The other two buttons of the program interface are used to add the documents, either individually (the one on the left) or in bulk (whole folders, the middle button).
In case any user does not know it yet, the.DOT or.DOTX files are Document Templates, that is, templates for documents that are normally obtained from conventional Word text documents. MS Word Save Doc As Dot allows us to perform this conversion directly. Of course, the program has a fundamental requirement, and is to have previously installed any version of Microsoft Word from 2000 onwards.
