Every time you open a file from the Windows Explorer or from a standard Open / Save dialog, the name of that file is recorded and registered in the operating system, some in the Windows registry and others in the folder called 'Recent '.
Recent Files View is used to display a list of all these recently used files, and allows you to delete the entries you don't want recorded there, for convenience or because they may jeopardize your privacy. You can also save this list of files within a text, HTML or XML file.
Recent Files View is a completely free application that does not take up a significant amount of disk space: it is barely 35 Kb in size.
