Celtx is open source media pre-production software for creating and organizing media projects like films, videos, theatre plays, audio, documentaries, comics, games and podcasts.
The program offers a variety of tools to make writing a script easier to create. With Celtx you can include scripts and scenes, save, productions plans, images, audio and video to a project to add, and with multiple people working together on a production work. The program itself is free to download, expansions are available for a fee.
An important feature is the creation of storyboards. These are illustrations that the order of the scenes can easily capture. This artwork you can create with the integrated schetstool. The schetstool, by default, contains icons for frequently used objects, such as cameras, lights and people. The created storyboards can be printed out or played with the built-in slideshow.
You can use different devices work on the same projects, this can be automatically synchronized. These documents can also be shared on the forum in order to allow others to review and edit.
