Start Killer is a lightweight free tool that allows the user to remove the Start button from the system bar, which will gain space in that area of the desktop. And also when you close Start Killer, the start button will be back in place, where ever.
Although the Start button is removed, the Start menu can be opened by pressing the key combination CTRL + ESC or the Windows key. Start Killer locates an icon inside the system tray, and by clicking with the right mouse button on that icon you can open the program configuration section.
