KWord is a free word processing program for Windows, Mac and Linux. The word processor is part of the free productivity office suite KOffice.
KWord makes it easy to make images, charts, and forms add document and is therefore also suitable for DTP (desktop publishing) applications. The format of KWord is based on frames that anywhere on the page can be placed and text, images and embedded objects can contain. The concept of frames is copied from the paid desktop PUBLISHING package from Adobe FrameMaker.
