MicWorld is an application in which 3D environments or worlds are used to organize sounds and their different properties. MicWorld includes up to 8 sounds of different objects that can be moved using the keyboard, joystick or control. These sound objects are muted until the microphone, a small object also controlled by the user, approaches them as it moves through the 3D environment.
The small microphone picks up the sounds of rotating objects. The distance between the microphone and the objects is what will define the volume of the sounds emitted. If you prefer, the vertical position or location of an object in this world (or 3D environment) can define the tone or 'pitch' of the sound of that object.
When you have arranged enough sets of objects in this 3D world, you can put the microphone in orbit between them, thus giving rise to a recurring sequence of sounds. Imagination is your only limit. Without a doubt, a different way of making music or broadcasting sound sequences. Ideal for those who like to experiment.
