NPO Start (formerly Uitzending Gemist) is the well-known service of the Public Broadcaster that allows you to watch repeats of your favorite TV programs. You can watch series, films, documentaries, news, sports and much more up to 30 days after the broadcast with the app for iPhone, iPad and Android, or on the website. You can also watch live Netherlands 1, 2 and 3, Zappelin and other theme channels.
In addition to an archive of missed broadcasts you can watch live TV via NPO on the channels NPO 1, 2 and 3, Zapp and Zappelin and the various theme channels of the public broadcaster, such as NPO Doc, NPO Zapp Xtra, NPO Cultura, NPO 101, NPO Humor TV, NPO News and NPO Politics. Listening to radio (NPO Radio 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 and 3FM) is also possible. Finally, you can consult an extensive TV Guide.
Since July 2017, if you create a free account, you can add Favorites and a watch list, create profiles (for your children, for example), get personal recommendations, and see where you left off on another device.
If you take a paid account you can see more series, programs are available for longer and you have no advertising.
