Notes is the app from Apple where you can make more extensive notes, notes and scribbles. You can add photos and format your text. You can also scan documents quickly. Notes syncs with your iPhone, iPad and Mac.

If you use 3D-touch on your iPhone / iPad (from 2015) and press hard on the Notes icon on your home screen, you immediately get the option to scan documents without first opening the app.
