With the default included with Windows, photo editing software Microsoft Paint you don't have much possibilities. Fortunately, there is free software that allows you to many more functions at your disposal. Paint.net here is a good example of this.
Paint.net is an open source image editing program. Paint.net it is free to download and use.
Paint.net besides the basic functions such as adjusting colors and image size are also more comprehensive functions such as working with (transparent) layers. Paint.net is less comprehensive than the free to download Gimp but is also much easier to use.
Paint.net is only suitable for Microsoft Windows. The creators of Paint.net compare the program with Adobe Photoshop and Corel Paint Shop Pro. The functions are, however, not so advanced, but many users will not even need.
Paint.net since 2014 also translated into English. Prior to that time had Dutch Speakers use the English variant.
