Nature of the Routes is a route planner for these nature areas throughout the Netherlands which is now 288 routes, which is free. The app is constantly updated and new routes are then automatically visible. The app is suitable for hiking, cycling and canoeing. Extra nice is the option to listen to the stories of the foresters of the wildlife.
Nature Trails is free to use and available for iOS, Android and Windows Phone.
The app offers a considerable number of routes and those routes are quite varied, ranging from routes that are specially made for children to long-haul routes.
If you open the app you will receive immediately a small pop-up menu, where you indicate what you want to do: hiking, biking or canoeing. This gives you even the place where you want to go, with the app already in place to recognize while you are typing and suggestions for. If you are a bit more extensive to search, then it gives you a desired length of a route, and check additional options, such as restaurants along the way, gezinsroute, cultural, historic, wheelchair-friendly, vogelroute and much more. Everything you check will be included in your query.
