LossLessCut is a simple program to quickly cut clips from your videos or films. This way you can shorten long videos or remove unwanted parts (advertising).
With LossLessCut - which uses FFMpeg - you can quickly cut and save the best parts of your video. The operation is simple: play the video in LossLessCut, click on the colored one at the desired times before the end of your clip. And then click on thepair of scissors. LossLessCut now exports your clip to a new file in the same folder as the original (with the times of the cut added to the file name). The original is retained unless you click on the trash can.
You can also merge multiple clips or clips (with the same codec) (Tools | Merge files), rotate videos and take screen shots (snapshots) of the clips.
LossLessCut is fast because the application does not re-encode videos after it performs editing. The program makes an almost direct (lossless) copy. LossLessCut supports the following video formats:
MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV, OGG, WAV, MP3, AAC, H264, Theora, VP8 and VP9.
You can convert unsupported film formats in LossLessCut to a supported format via menuFile | Convert to friendly format (fast)orFile | Convert to friendly codec (slow).
LossLessCut is only for cutting clips from videos. For special effects and more editing options you have to go to more advanced video editors. There are versions for Windows, Mac and Linux.
